My name is Kev (don’t call me Kevin - I go all green and start growing too big for my shirt!!). I am a British national who fell in love with the underwater world off the coast of Kenya. I have dived and worked in diverse locations such as the UK, Malta, Thailand, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia, Egypt, Central America and of course Spain and the Canary Islands. My extended experience includes: I am currently working full-time on the Canarian island of Lanzarote and make several trips a year to conduct PADI Instructor Development Courses at Simply Diving on the Costa del Sol. Previously I have spent time running Instructor courses on Utila in the Bay Islands off Honduras, in Sharm El Sheik, Egypt, South Island New Zealand, Malta and the UK. Besides teaching diving, I spend my time on wine (Spain does offer some of the best wines in the world!), women (well not strictly true, as I only have eyes for one woman, my new wife!) and song (well not strictly true either, as I am tone deaf!). I believe to be successful as an Instructor not only do you need the skills and knowledge learnt on your IDC and throughout your diving career, but also a passion for diving and the underwater world. The first part, we bring to the party. The second part, we expect you to! You will find the IDC hard work and a little stressful. But you will also enjoy it and have a lot fun along the way.
